Easy Taco Dip

Hello there, hope you guys are having a great weekend so far! With the holiday season upon us (can you believe it's almost December now?), I thought I would share a favourite party food of ours. You can't go to a gathering around here without at least one, sometimes two of these bad boys. It's taco dip, and it's probably the best party food out there.

The recipe I use is super simple and only uses 5 ingredients:

Easy Taco Dip____________________________________________________

2 (226g) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 tubs (750mL) sour cream
3 cups marble cheese, shredded
2 cups mild salsa
1 pkg. taco seasoning

1. Beat softened cream cheese and sour cream until it's combined. It will appear curdled, that's okay. It will smooth out after it sits for a while in the fridge:

Add half of the taco seasoning, mix well. Add the rest of the taco seasoning and blend well again.

2. Pour into one 9x13 dish or two 8x8 dishes (I am using two smaller dishes here):

3. Top with salsa, I used mild salsa because my taste buds are babies (seriously, mild salsa is spicy to me):

4. Top with cheese:

That's it! How easy is that? And feel free to add anything you like: jalapenos, tomatoes, green onions; Or change the cheese to something like Monterrey jack. The options are pretty endless, and as long as you use these five base ingredients your dip will be the talk of the party.

Happy munching! If you have any left before the party, good for you!
